Palmer’s New Coconut Oil Bodycare Range Review

I’ve used Palmer’s products since…forever. I have so many fond childhood memories and to be honest with you my nostalgia is always accompanied by the sweet and distinctive reminiscent smell of Palmer’s original body lotion, so, when I was offered the chance to give their new Coconut Oil body care range a try, I couldn’t refuse.

Now, I must admit, I’m not entirely new to this range as I’ve been using the coconut hair care range for a few months and I actually can’t fault it. It’s so hard to find hair care products that leave my dreadlocks feeling squeaky clean, and smelling great without having some sort of weird residue, so do try the range out if you come across itΒ – but anyway that’s a review, for another time.

Coconut Oil works wonder for skin (and hair), so Palmer’s is definitely on to something with this range, but it’s also infused with one of my favourite oils – Mono Oil – great for hydrating, as well as Almond Oil – which is known for it’s soothing properties, perfect for treating any skin type especially as we are subject to this ridiculous weather.

Before using this range, I’d been committing a multitude of sins by using Vaseline everywhere – not a good look when you want to look well moisturised but end up looking like a grease ball. So, when I introduced Palmer’s new range into my routine, I was impressed to say the least.

The first product I tried was the Coconut Oil Body Cream. The whole range smells divine but I found that this pot of thick creamy goodness had the most intense scent – so much so, that would often go without wearing any perfume.

I found the coconut oil body cream super moisturising and luxuriously creamy, however, I did notice that I really had to massage in the cream otherwise it left a grey cast on my skin.

As a result I moved on to the body oil. I normally hate using oil but the packaging really drew me to use it, I could just imagine spraying the oil on and looking like I’d just stepped off a beach… and to be honest, I did (without the tan). The oil gave me such a nice dewy glow, without feeling or looking oily. The coconut scent is very subtle too so using this wasn’t overwhelming at all. Once I sort out my next getaway this will definitely be packed too!

On days where I felt I needed a bit more moisture, I added a ‘top coat’ of moisture using Palmer’s Coconut Oil Body Lotion. This was actually my favourite product in the range because of the formula and consistency. It’s a great in-between to the other two products in the body care range. The smell is amazing, and because of it’s light consistency it was easy to work with, especially when getting ready in a rush before work, which is a plus,

Overall I loved using this range, and I’m not at all surprised considering how much I loved using the hair care range. I loved the formula, especially as I felt I could work with the amount of moisture I could apply to my skin without looking or feeling ridiculously shiny or oily. Palmer’s have impressed me again!

Will you be trying Palmer’s New Coconut Oil Bodycare range? If so, let me know your thoughts!Β
