Blogmas: The Christmas Tag

And the countdown to Christmas continues…

I still don’t have my Christmas tree up, hence why I feel a little bit un-christmassy, however, I am writing this while digging into mince pies and custard πŸ˜‹

I haven’t been tagged to do this post, but I do love taking part in them, simply to see other peoples answers so, make sure you read to the end to see if you’re tagged…

WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE CHRISTMAS FILMS?
My family loves to curl up in front of a good film, and during Christmas there’s definitely Β no exception. Saying that, I’m not a HUGE fan of Christmassy films as I feel you can only watch them during the festive season. But, I do love Home Alone & Santa Clause I always feel nostalgic when I watch them.

HAVE YOU EVER HAD A WHITE CHRISTMAS?
Not that I can remember. The funny thing is, I would say the most Christmassy Christmas I’ve had was actually when I was in Barbados. Everyone goes all out of decorating their houses and in town they have loads of Christmas events. Very bizarre but so nice.

WHERE DO YOU USUALLY SPEND YOUR HOLIDAY?
My family take it in turns to host Christmas, so it’s usually with my whole family at one of our houses.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE CHRISTMAS SONG?
Santa Claus is Coming To Town – very cheesy, but I remember practicing this song for some sort of primary school play.

DO YOU OPEN ANY PRESENTS ON CHRISTMAS EVE?
Always! It’s a very predictable present – Β a set of pyjamas, but it’s somewhat a tradition now.

CAN YOU NAME ALL OF SANTA’S REINDEER?
LOL, I’m sure I could once upon a time but not anymore all I remember is Rudolph, prancer and dancer (I’m not even sure if dancer is one 😭 πŸ‘€)

WHAT HOLIDAY TRADITIONS ARE YOU LOOKING FOR MOST THIS YEAR?
Other than stuffing my Β face with food, and catching up with my fam, I’m looking forward to having a Christmas get-together with my friends of about 11 years. It’s been a tradition since we left secondary school.

IS YOUR CHRISTMAS TREE REAL OR FAKE?
We fake it. But it’s never been something that bothered me. They last a long time and are mess-free.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE HOLIDAY FOOD / SWEET OF ALL TIME?
my sister is the baker in the family and she does loads of sweet treats, but I love her Key-lime pie most of all…also her pecan pie. I’m salivating just thinking about it.

BE HONEST: DO YOU LIKE RECEIVING OR GIVING GIFTS BETTER?
If anyone asked me this question five years ago, I would have said I love receiving gifts – I still do – but I do love searching for quirky memorable gifts for people and watching them open it. Puts a smile on my face.

WHAT IS THE BEST GIFT YOU’VE EVER RECEIVED?
I remember receiving an All Starz doll. I remember adding it to my list just days before Christmas but I didn’t think I had a chance of getting it because i was too late. Come Christmas morning I opened an oddly shaped prezzie and it was it. Literally I just screamed with happiness.

WHAT WOULD BE YOUR DREAM PLACE TO VISIT FOR THE HOLIDAY SEASON?
Iceland. It looks like a magical place anyway, but if I went with loved ones, I think it would be an amazing experiencing.

ARE YOU A PRO PRESENT WRAPPER OR A PRO FAILURE?
I learnt from the best. Any shape any size, I can wrap it lol. I have been told off though for using too much cellotape.

WHAT MADE YOU REALISE THE TRUTH ABOUT SANTA?
Probably seeing my dad taking a bite out the mince pies I left for Santa lol. I was gutted.

  2. Mmmmm mince pies and custard! Great choice, girlie! Nothing better than jummy Christmas food to get you into the festive sprirt! A Christmas in Barbados sounds amazing – I suppose if the sand is white, that counts as a white Christmas, right? Haha! I’ve never had a white Christmas either and I’ve lived in England all my life, but I keep my fingers crossed every year! Thanks for sharing this, it was a fun read!
