Recently I’ve taken a back seat with new beauty products on the scene, I am seriously lost with what products I should be buying and what products I need to leave on the shelf, but one product I treated myself to a few weeks go is the Tartelette 2 In Bloom palette and it is one that I am seriously impressed with.
Let me start by saying – My name is Rianne, and I am a beauty hoarder. Honestly, I have about 3 drawers filled to the brim with beauty products that I have never used, but have bought because they look pretty in the packaging (I really ought to go through them and see what gems I can find).
I thought it was time to treat myself to some new eye shadows as I had been using my MAC Burgundy x9 eyeshadow palette to death – to be honest it’s one of the best palettes I’ve ever bought, but it was time to find something else, that was just as good, after all there’s only so many colour combos you can come up with 9 shadows.
I am a sucker for bronze/neutral shades, so when I heard about the Tarte palette I was sold. This luxurious palette comes with 12 beautiful shades, but let me start with the packaging – every girl’s kryptonite.
Tarte got it so right with the packaging of this palette. As you can see it’s super ‘girly’ covered in a floral print which is fitting as it is called ‘In Bloom’. The palette comes in a shiny cardboard packaging, and once opened it reveals the smooth, hard gold casing the same floral print on top. Absolutely beautiful!
Open it up and you are greeted with a huge mirror. I feel that all eye shadow palettes should come with a mirror – it should just be part and parcel, because when you’re on the go it makes things so much easier – plus it really adds to its luxuriousness.
Directly underneath the mirror is the jackpot. 12 NEW and undeniably beautiful hues, 9 matte shades, perfect for creating a day to day look, great for work, plus 3 shimmery lustrous shadows that can effortlessly turn any look into a more glamorous one, perfect for a night time soiree.

My most used and favourite colours are the ones swatched, how beautiful are they?
The shadows in this Tarte palette are so dense and a little goes a long way, the colours are so pigmented and blend so well, especially when applied with Tartes double-ended eyeshadow brush (I swear by this brush), which disperses the product easily, evenly and with minimum effort for a sleek look that lasts longer and allows you to precisely place product for a symmetrical look.
Each shadow is made with Amazonian clay – ‘a nutrient rich clay is extracted from the banks of the Amazon River where the nutrients are at their highest concentration. As nature’s most perfect ingredient, this multitasking and total skin balancing clay has been known to remove surface oil and mattify skin, nourish all skin types and give skin an overall smooth and even appearance. Can we just take a moment to appreciate the pigments of these eyeshadows.’
I am seriously in love with this palette and impressed with how much I use it. The colours are insanely dense and pigmented and I love that these colours can also be used with MAC’s x9 palette. I bought this from QVC (which shouldn’t be slept on if you’re looking for American branded beauty at affordable prices) for £35 which is a little pricey, but you definitely get your moneys worth.
Have you tried this palette, what are you first impressions?
